| Drysuits
Unless you restrict your diving to the few months in and around summer, you need a drysuit to stay comfortable in the water here in the northeast. Drysuits have a reputation in some circles for being cumbersome and requiring a lot more work than wetsuits but this is a bad rap. If your suit fits properly and you wear it enough to feel comfortable getting in and out of it and using it, diving dry is no more of a hassle than diving wet. Some of us here at Blue Sphere Pubs rarely even put on a wetsuit, even in the summer.
We evaluate drysuits and drysuit accessories on their durability (how they hold up over the long-term and how they fare in the environment itself -- over rocks, inside wrecks, etc. -- over the short-term) and how well suited their design is for northeast diving.
